Foregrounds major writers and topics in the queer African-American and queer US Latinx literary tradition; considers questions of sexual and racial representation through the Harlem Renaissance, as well as foundational writings and politics of lesbian feminists of color in the 1980’s and 90’s. Also profiles 21st century sex-positive writing and literature written about queers of color, and experimentations with narrative form.
